Say YES! To the Test Provincial HIV Testing Day

This is the first year that Saskatchewan is organizing an HIV Testing Day. Targeted "testing fairs" are taking place in numerous locations throughout the province as part of the testing day. The purpose is to promote and offer HIV testing in an effort to support HIV prevention and treatment. For more information on HIV, click here to visit our "HIV Info and Testing" webpage.

When:  Tuesday, June 27, 2017; 9:30 am to 2:00 pm
Where:  New Beginnings Outreach, Kamsack, SK; there will be presentations and door prizes

Alzheimer and Dementia Support/Information Group Meeting

When:   2nd Wednesday of every month @ 2:00 p.m.
Where:  Yorkton Crossing Retirement Community, 348 Morrison Drive, Yorkton
If you plan on attending or have any questions, call Linda Wong with the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan at 306-783-1068.

The support group is open to all caregivers with no fee to attend.

Please note that lunch is not provided for any of the workshops.

Participants must pre register by calling 786-0600. Registration fee for this course is $40.00, which includes a thermometer, fee must be prepaid to secure spot, cheque payable to Sunrise Health Region.

Home Study Program for Food Safe Course is an option. Cost is $50.00 which will include the course package and must be completed in thirty days. Please contact 306-786-0600, for more information

Prenatal Classes

It is recommended to register early in your pregnancy for classes. Each series provides information on pregnancy, labour and delivery, coping strategies, infant feeding, and postpartum adjustment. Classes include lectures, videos, and interactive participation. Husbands/partners/support persons are encouraged to attend.


Yorkton prenatal classes are offered during an all day course one Saturday a month at the Public Health office, 150 Independent Street, Yorkton.
